Court Ordered Classes:

  • Values Clarification: Values Clarification is an 8-hour program provided over the course of 4 weeks, split into 2-hour sessions.

Individuals referred by the court will be given an anger management assessment. The cost of assessment is $125. Results from the assessment will be determined if anger management (group) is appropriate for participants. If it has been determined that anger management is appropriate all participants will be provided with a package to complete along with the policy of the program. The cost of group is $25 per person and must be paid before the day of group. If it has been determined that individual is not a good fit for group than individual sessions will be offered. Individual sessions are $ 50 per session.

Before attending, be sure you receive an Anger Management evaluation, unless court or probation provides you with the number of classes you must complete. If you do not know the number, we can set up an appointment for you to complete an evaluation.

Anger isn't considered a Psychological Disorder by either the American Psychiatric Association or the American Psychological Association in the way that depression or schizophrenia are. Since anger is considered only a symptom of underlying maladies treatment cannot be billed to clients health insurance.

According to the American Psychiatric Association, anger is a normal human emotion. It is not a mental disorder, consequently it is not responsive to traditional counseling, psychotherapy or psychotropic medication. Additionally anger is not listed in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5)
